Is YouTube next after Meta's $1B loss?

Meta ordered to pay nearly $1B for harming kids' mental health
In a landmark ruling, Judge Bryan Biedscheid found Meta guilty of harming children's mental health and ordered safety measures. The money from the fine will go into a fund built to reduce future harm and address the damage already done.
What's changing on the platform side, per The Times:
Monthly usage limits for teens on Instagram and Facebook
Notification restrictions
A block on adults contacting under-18 users they don't already know
Here's why this matters for you: YouTube is facing a similar lawsuit right now.
If this ruling holds, YouTube may be staring down the same pressure to change its policies. Worth watching closely, because whatever comes next could touch how you reach and interact with younger audiences on the platform.
Does channel size actually matter for YouTube Collabs?
YouTube's Creator Liaison Rene Ritchie tackled this question head-on in a new video on Creator Insider.
YouTube studied how collabs perform across different channel sizes and found:
Creators collaborating with a channel ~30x larger than them saw an average 30% uplift in first-week views
Smaller channels still saw an average 25% uplift in first-week views
Both numbers are compared against those channels' non-collab uploads from the past 5 months.
None of this is guaranteed. Collaborating won't automatically make your channel grow, but it does open you up to new surface areas; places where viewers who've never heard of you get their first look.
One more thing: YouTube just doubled the max collaborators per video, up to 10. More changes to the Collabs feature are reportedly on the way, so keep an eye on this space.
TubeSpanner just launched the Social Media Planner
TubeSpanner's latest feature launch lets you plan your social posts right next to your YouTube videos, not in some separate app you forget to open. Once your video's built, the Social Media Planner can auto-write and schedule campaign posts pulling from everything you already made.

Promotion is where creators fall off, not because they don't care but because it's one more tab, one more login, one more thing to remember. A planner that lives where your video already lives removes that excuse.
